Groove Principal is comprised of three staff members of Tri-Cities area elementary schools. Tony Langdon, drummer, is the Principal of Lincoln Elementary in Kennewick. His brother, Sean Langdon, is a vocalist and guitarist for the band, and Principal of Tapteal Elementary in West Richland. Walt Hampton doubles as a Groove Principal guitarist and a Music Teacher at White Bluffs Elementary in Richland.
